Typically 16m3 of biogas / tonne of organic waste

Typically 60% methane, 40% carbon dioxide.

Generate on-site electricity.

Typically 1MW for 50,000tpa of MSW.

Yes.

No.

55-60 deg. Celsius.

Yes, the front end sorting facility segregates all waste streams.

The technology is modular so we can expand capacity from 50,000tpa to 300,000tpa or more

Very little; about 140L per tonne of waste.

Yes. The vessels are fully insulated and protected form the outside environment so it does not matter if it is hot or cold outside.

It is an excellent compost for agriculture, with over 15kg/tonne of nitrogen and other trace elements. Alternatively can be used as a clean bio-fuel with properties similar to dry brown coal.

Yes, the sorting system is based on a previous design that was implemented in a 65K tpa facility in Perth that serviced a Council where residents put all their waste into a single bin. The organic by-product from this facility was sufficiently clean to be used in broad acre agriculture.

Typically, based on Western Australian waste composition, a diversion of 80%-85% is possible

Using a novel wet density separation system that uses process water thus enabling nutrients that are washed out during the washing process to go back into the process.

It is recycled within the process – no wastewater is generated.

As the process produces very little odorous air we can use more sophisticated methods of odour control, therefore we use a chemical scrubbing system that removes all odour.

Yes, in the US, China and Australia and pending in EU, Canada and Japan.

Construction time is approximately 12 months.

A 50,000 tpa transfer station retro-fit may require as little as 2,000m2. A 100,000 tpa facility on a ‘greenfield’ location would require approximately 8,000m2.

A 50,000 tpa facility only requires 6-8 operators.
